Pinchbeck Elementary PTA's Mission

Pinchbeck Elementary PTA's mission is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Together with the faculty and staff of Pinchbeck Elementary School, which is a diverse community of student leaders, staff, and families, we are committed to nurturing and engaging students and their families in lifelong learning to empower ALL to be thriving global citizens.

Today we celebrate the diversity of our Pinchbeck community with our student population representing over 25 languages. At Pinchbeck we seek first to understand others, and then to be understood. Please take a moment to watch this beautiful video created by Amy Adams, our music teacher in 2022, who created this video with graduating 5th grade students for their Moving On ceremony. Enjoy!

Pinchbeck's History

Raymond Pinchbeck “Welcome Neighbors”

Pinchbeck Elementary School, located in the Tuckahoe District, opened in 1961 and was named for Dr. Raymond B. Pinchbeck, who was chairman of the Henrico County School Board for eight years, and later Dean of the University of Richmond. Known for his radio news greeting, “Good Morning, Neighbors!”, students echoed the same sentiment in morning announcements. The original mascot was the Pinchbeck Pelicans. The school mascot changed to Rays (rays of sun, derived from Raymond Pinchbeck) on Pinchbeck’s 25th anniversary.
