Open to all grades
Spanish - Hablo Espanol! $60/student
Hablando Español! Do you already know colors, numbers and basic words in Spanish? Would you like to learn to have a conversation in Spanish? This class will be run by a native speaker, playing games, reading stories, songs and more. Children will have a quick review of basic concepts like colors, numbers, days of the week, body parts and family members. Students will learn how to get directions, ask for their favorite foods, talk to friends, and common phrases for day to day life.
Drama for Kids $60/student
Join Drama Kids for our dramatic acting and improvisation workshop where students will participate in a wide range of new dramatic activities that include: mini-scripts, characterizations, scene starters, small plays, speech and movement techniques and improvisation skills. Above all, we NEVER repeat a lesson or play, our drama classes are fast paced, great fun, and have new activities and lessons each week. Session concludes with a wonderful mini-performance with costumes in class for family and friends.
The Sports Academy $50/student
The Sports Academy allows young students to gain basic knowledge and fundamentals of sports and team work. There will be numerous fun and competitive games for students to play! The purpose of this program is to help students stay active and have fun while learning what it takes to be a part of a team. It will be about encouraging others at all times, communicating appropriately, and having a great attitude towards your team and competitors. And, our wonderful Mrs. Koontz (Ms. K) will be running this class.
Challenge Island’s World Tour $60/student
Pack your suitcases for Challenge Island’s All New World Tour! You and a tribeful of friends will engineer your way around the globe - from the Eiffel Tower to the Sydney Harbor Bridge and from the Taj Mahal to an African Safari. Each challenge will bring us to a different geographical destination and provide a special taste of the local flavor there. Please join us for this not to be missed Challenge Island global adventure!
Championship Chess presents a systematic, fun way to build chess skills during chess instruction while students play. Studies show that chess improves math, reading and problem-solving skills and our methods connect these academic benefits to our classes. This class includes instruction as well as chess play and guided analysis. Students will also be able to accomplish Achievement Cards online outside of the classroom.
Kids Yoga $60/student
Kids Yoga is an exciting way to encourage community, creativity, and mindfulness. Liz will combine lighthearted games and upbeat music with yoga postures to inspire self-exploration and fun! Kids will benefit by learning ways to stretch, strengthen mind and body, and relax.
We are so thankful to our sponsors for their generosity!
