Pinchbeck is proud to be a Leader in Me school since 2016. Leader in Me is a whole-school improvement process based on the idea that everyone can be a leader. This evidence-based approach empowers students with the leadership and life-skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. The Pinchbeck PTA pays 100% of the annual membership cost to participate in this program. We are only 1 of 5 schools in the Richmond area that have access to Leader in Me. With Leader in Me, Pinchbeck focuses on developing the whole child by:

• teaching LEADERSHIP to every student,
• creating a CULTURE of student empowerment,
• and aligning systems to drive results in ACADEMICS.

Leader in Me is a program that not only supports a school environment but can also be an invaluable tool when practiced in the home. The Leader in Me Family Overview will provide you with bite size information explaining the 5 Core Paradigms and the 7 Habits upon which the program is based.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is one of the key frameworks of the Leader in Me process. In addition to helping students learn and apply leadership skills, the 7 Habits give us a common language in building a supportive emotional environment. 

The 7 Habits of Happy Kids is a beautifully illustrated collection of stories that bring the 7 Habits philosophy to younger readers aged 4-8.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families offers lessons in creating and sustaining a strong family culture in a turbulent world. Shows how and why to have family meetings, the importance of keeping promises, how to balance individual and family needs, and how to move from dependence to interdependence.
